Yes I feed layer year round to both my male/female ducks and also chickens. My chickens lay year round. Not sure my ducks will, this will be my first winter with them. But my ducks are now on flock raiser bc I have babies in with them

I do not see any bugs. I did not dump the bag to fully inspect it. It's not a fine powder there is some smaller crumbles mixed in very little tho. I guess you could say it's like sand I guess would be a better word than powder
