Do you make your kids eat what they are served?

Give them 3 meals. You have met your obligation. If they don't eat it that is their choice and not your fault. My sister has foster kids. They get hungry and they do eat what is prepared at any age.

Do you make your kids eat what they are served?

I understand completely. As adults I am sure they will some day thank you for what you have done for them. Tough love is a hard road to follow but the lessons learned by our children are ones they need to learn and are often the ones that hurt the most being taught.

Fresh brussel sprouts are far better in taste and texture than frozen ones. If you have to buy frozen buy the petites and a true name brand leader - not a grocery store brand. Steam to for tender. Drain. Sautee quickly in a small pan of butter with salt and pepper to taste. Crumble bacon on top.

Do you make your kids eat what they are served?

My 2 year old DS has some favorites - beets, carrots, asparagus, corn on the cob, tiny english peas and LOVES spinach salad - could care less about potatoes. Given his taste preference I can't complain about his not wanting to eat a potato that is not a french fry. My 10 yr old DD is picky but...

Do you make your kids eat what they are served?

I have learned a lot over the last 21 years of child rearing. If they get hungry enough they will eat what they are served. I have one girl who is a picky eater. My children ar required to at least taste something new. If they find it so horrid they can't eat it then they don't have to eat it...
