OK. So the opening is 7" tall by 11" wide. The inner box is about 1 foot by 1 foot. It has a slope to allow the eggs to roll into the covered egg tray up front.
Two Questions:
1. Do you think a 7 lb hen will have any issues fitting this?

The inside is deeper than the 7" tall entry hole it's closer to 1'.
I checked my local supply stores and they have the plastic mountable type and the front hole on those really don't look that much bigger.
