Ah I see, I have a few real plants along with a fake one, and some caves so my loaches and Cory cats can hide. And I have algae wafers that I put in there for my former otocinclus, but I may hold off getting one for a while. -

I believe that the red stuff is an alcohol mixture, I don't know what the balls are though. You should do a water change and vacuum the substrate to get any alcohol and glass out, not to mention the ball things. -

Yeah, goldfish and koi are not really ment to be in an inside aquarium anyway. They can get way over a foot and a half long and produce a lot of waste and need a large area to swim. It sickens me when people keep goldfish in bowls, that's way too small, has no aeration, and stunts them. -
