I've found once the males start crowing incessantly, even in the middle of the night, it doesn't bother the family members as much when I need to process them. The roos in the freezer are nice and quiet. Maybe she can be around the quail you use for egg production? Since they won't be eaten... -

I'm glad she at least tried the meat. Next time try a new recipe so she can try it a different way. I made no bones about it that our quail are food. Even my son who loves seeing the fluffy chicks ate them eventually, he knew they were for food. Maybe your wife would be better off not seeing...
