Poor little girl. The damage done mating with a drake can kill a chicken. Please isolate her. If you put her in with the chicks they may peck her damaged tissue. She needs quiet and rest and you may still lose her. Good luck, -DB- Darnbunnies

Adorable! I am so jealous...my full incubator of KC eggs shipped and abused by USPS produced exactly zero ducklings. Will be driving to Lake Elsinore this week to hand carry home some local fertile KC eggs. LoveMeSome KC Ducks.- Darnbunnies

Where are you planning to place the brooder and how long do you plan to keep the chicks in their brooder? What is your weather like? It is so warm here we do not use a lamp for very long. They are expensive to run as well. Remember you will be adjusting the height of the lamp to help...- Darnbunnies
