    Sorry to hijack this thread, but I have a hard time cleaning the tops of mine. Where all the wires and fans are??? How do you get that disinfected and all the little chick fluff out?? Thx!

    Yeah, I had never heard that one before, but she was pretty convinced that it's true because she was giving her husband a very hard time telling him he was putting too many Roo eggs in the incubator lol

    I don't know about that, but my neighbor is from the Phillipines and she raised chickens over there. She said the pointy eggs are roosters and the round eggs are hens. I haven't tested this myself , but her husband said he tested it and so far with their chickens, she has been right.

    Well my grand total is 2!! Day 14 the incubator was accidentally turned off for at least 24 hours & ruined most of the eggs :-(. But I have 2 beautiful new fuzzy butt D'uccles today!!

    I just set my eggs... 18 of them!! They are D'uccles and silkies, can't remeber how many of each, but 18 all together :-)

    My d'uccles have always hatched out by day 19 or 20. That's what I'm using for the HAL and I'm not setting them until tomorrow .
