Yup, pantyhose! It's kinda 1/3 1/3 1/3. I go a bit heavier on the starch. And make a few. Switch out every am. Now, as all ingredients are odor absorbers, if an egg goes bad, it might mask the smell. Just guessing on that!
For my tree frogs, when I had to lower humidity, I made an absorber. Triple layered stocking filled with corn starch, minute rice, and silica! It's what mold treatment specialists use when your basement floods!!! I made it the size of a small cucumber.

What humidity do you run for lockdown. I've kept my humidity topping at about 38 and letting it drop to about 25. I use pieces of sponges to get a slow decrease over the course of the day. I do this every 12 hours with my temp at a steady 99.5°.
If the humidity is at danger levels, would the lesser evils be to take the eggs out and get the water dumped out? I've seen/read of people cooling their eggs before misting, to mimic momma getting wet then sitting back down. I have no experience at this, just throwing out there as a debatable...
