Makes sense...people trying to do a birds job...LOL!!! I thought I had an issue with my bator, but it has worked fine every other time This was my only failed duck hatch in 9 years of hatching them(I only hatch ducks once a year ...but that could change!)
Awww...sorry about your baby But good info to know. So ducks eggs...laying down from day one! All types of duck eggs? I think I just realized why my duck hatch failed last year I had them in the turner from day one and took them out before lockdown. I have never had my duck eggs in a turner...
OMG....sooooo cute And Hilarious story about troublemaker..LOL That's what he gets for bugging his poor brothers and sisters busy trying to bust outta that egg!!!! Congrats on your adorable babies!!!!
Agreed! There is soooooo much information out there and so much of it is conflicting that newbies get completely LOST!!!! Info that has been tried and works, as well as well as clear about the type of egg, bator and timing in incubation would be very useful for myself as well as many others...
LOL...poor duckie was like "Why do I have to sit in this cup and HE gets to play????NO FAIR!!!" Sorry for the loss of 2 but glad to see the others are making their way into the world Keep us updated and of course we need cute fluffy duckling pics
Ok...thanks! I will make sure I clean my bators well before I start. They were doing great until about a week before hatch so not sure what went wrong! just want to avoid it again!
Kathy...is there any way to find out what that dark discoloration is or why it happens? I had that happen to my duck eggs last year and none hatched Hoping these babies are doing ok!!!! I am getting ready to hatch and want to figure out what happened with the dark discoloration before I start...
