    I hate to tell you this and it not work but if it were me in that situation, I would get the heating pad working at a stable temp, it won't hurt the embyro to be a little cooler for a short period of time, 95-97° if you can get it that high and stable. Then I would put a bath towel over them...

    Don't mean to be nosey but why take the eggs out of the old bator for that long before transferring them to the new one? BTW, congratulations on scoring the new bator!

    Never say never, hatching is addicting....almost as much as "chicken math":gigdepending on what eggs your hatching 40% is adequate for the 1st 18 days. At lockdown you want to increase humidity to 65% but not over 70%. At greater than 70% it can actually cause problems.

    I probably shoudn't memtion this but I use the old antique incubator mercury thermometers, get them on auctions on ebay, the reason I say not mention it....cuz now I'll have competitors when I bid :lau They are super accurate. When checking accuracy with laboratory grade calibration thermometer...
