It's a 4x4, like my Little Monitor Coop, so 4 adult, standard-size hens. For a while I had 5 in that coop -- who all grew up together and who had constant access to a vastly-oversized run. But two of them slept on the floor and I'm sure there would have been trouble had I ever had to shut them in.
