    Fair question! Yes, they can get air in there. I've hatched various reptiles and even reared some queen bees in this incubator.

    These are coturnix... I think 17 days is the norm? Some individuals up to 20? I guess now the real work starts. EDIT: And for clarity, I'm not touching them or messing with them for now... Just going to let them hang out in the incubator a bit before going to the brooder.

    So I joined recently. I'm trying some ebay "A&M" eggs. Mainly was doing this as a test run for other potential future incubations. This evening will be the true beginning of day 17, but I just happened to check right as this one was coming out. I imagine getting them out is just the beginning...
