River snorted. "I wish." Buck looked at them. "I'm not saying your friends aren't worth it, I'm just wondering how much they are worth to you."

Buck shook his head. "It's nothin'" he said, still laughing.

"Why you need 'em back so badly?"

Buck groaned and kept moving. "So..these friends of yours.."

Buck snorted. River glared.

Buck tried to move out of her reach. "Mares are so moody!"

Buck reared.

"Getting this stupid halter and stuff off." Buck said.

River ran over and kicked Buck. "I said stop." Buck moved and snorted.

River looked over at Buck. "Hey stop it!" Buck didn't.

Buck finally got the reins lose and started to work them off.
