He doesn’t come out during the day. If he did the chickens would be freaking out. My rooster warns them if a leaf is falling.

Thank you. I have always brought the feed in at night so there’s no feeding the rats at night. We dug out the bottom of the run and by a 12” wood as far as we could all around and the rat has slowly stopped digging in. But he still has his tunnels everywhere but that is a problem for the spring...

We didn’t use bait stations we just put them in his tunnels. But we’ll try all these ideas this weekend so.

We tried poison and he completely ignored it

We had one success of almost catching it by powering water into the tunnels and the one ran out but that didn’t stop it from coming back sadly. We will definitely try and look into the zap trap

The places to hang them have vents 😭. I will definitely figure something out though. Right now were just going to dig out the run apply boards to the baseline of fence and more chicken wire that way it can’t dig it in the meantime.

Food is out in the run during the day and then at night it’s put into the coop.

How do I get rid of them?
