    How old are your chicks and can you tell what type of comb the top chick has? A dark cornish has a pea comb, a golden-laced wyandotte has a rose comb, and a barnevelder has a straight comb. I have a couple barnevelders that have feathering like your chick, but didn't realize barnies come in...

    Actually, dark cornish are pretty common as bantams - most of the dark cornish chickens shown on feathersite are bantams: http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGA/Cornish/BRKCornish.html

    Dark cornish aren't as large as the huge cornish x's that most people buy as meat birds. Some people keep the dark cornish hens as pets and for eggs - they lay brown eggs (don't know how many).
