Thanks for reading it Marie, the pleasure is mutual. 😊
The dogs get pestered by the chickens if they have bones. The chooks will come up and peck at the meaty bits!
I have seen Stella watch apprehensively as a chook heads towards her then pick up her bone and try to find somewhere to chew...
Yes. In general we found the Labradors more boisterous and confident and the Golden Retrievers quieter and more people focused but less confident.
As a family, we preferred the GRs. The Guide Dog Association seemed to get a higher rate of success with Labs though.
Sounds like Peanut leans more toward the GR temperament and Butter behaves more like a Lab. From the pictures though their looks go in the other direction! They are very sweet. 🥰
Thank you for letting me know. I will have to have a look at that show.
I was surprised how different in temperament Labradors and Golden Retrievers were. I expect your mom's 2 were absolutely adorable.❤
I was surprised to learn that less than 50% of the puppies actually become guide dogs. We were kind of hoping that Stella would fail her training because we wanted her back! :p
I don't think it is the colouring that discourages pecking, I think it may be the taste. But I haven't tried tasting...
