also the day I discovered this, I had to pull a 5 inch peice of poo out of her. the stuff that was inside was stringy looking. could this be worms?

no noises, no wound only missing feathers, I am in gorham, and no other birds combs look like hers, her breathing sounds normal, she is about 9 months and no worming has ever happened, I have only seen her eat and drink once on her own, and I do not know how to check and identify crop issues.

do broody hens lay eggs? and to they only use the bathroom only 2-3 times per day?

I also have to use a thin tube to make her drink.

I also have to force feed her, and even then I can only get 2 to 3 pieces in.

well the runny crap is only coming 2 to 3 times per day, and the wound is just exposed skin. her comb is darker than the normal with a blackish tint.

her poo also smells horrid

brownish white and she has not eaten since our rooster plucked her back and shee just stayed on the roost since.

she is about 9 months old, and I think she is laying normally, because in the summer, we get about 6 eggs per day, and we have 5 laying hens. Either one or two are laying much faster than normal, or she is laying just fine. which i think is more likely. she is also eating and drinking just fine...
