I got new pics today, I will upload them soon. Carmel is doing great.I think the thing that kept out the infection was liquid silver. It helps heal everything.
She is doing great. Her feathers are growing back and she looks great.I am still trying to decide whether to take out the stitches or not. Any advice in that area??????

Carmel looks good .She is eating and drinking fine. As far as taking out the stitches, I think we are going to keep them in. There is no sign of infection so far. No pus or yellow discharge. I have not had anything this bad all of my chicken farming years so I guess I've been blessed. Ill post...

This is showing the exposed windpipe... After we pulled the feathers directly around the wound and took a cotton ball w/ peroxide on it and wiped around it.

One of the reasons we stiched it was because the way her skin was ripped, her windpipe was exposed and showing. I will post some pictures later, but the stiching looks good so far! Thanks!
I'm sure the wound is less than a day old. It still looked wet. They were out while we were away this morning. A Hawk went after the same chicken and our bantam rooster about a week ago, but we saw it coming and scared it away before it could have got them.
