If the ventilation is good, roosts are present as the highest point in the coop for them to perch and they feel safe inside the coop. They’ll go in at night. Maybe later than we would like for them to but they’ll go in.

If you decide to do that. Mount the window but outs as shutters with the hinges on the top so it will open up like this pic of how I did mine to allow airflow and to keep the rain out.This is a better pic of what I mean than the pic of mine.
Hmm.. I wonder if you made another vent/window closer towards the middle or right side of the pop door area and another one on the opposite wall but right across from the other one? Just a thought. But I’m not chicken whisperer.
What’s the temp inside the coop? Is it cooler out in the run then in the coop?
is there ample ventilation of the coop? Like windows that are larger than the vents you speak of? Could you post a pic of your coop?
