Oh, Amberlinks (or at least mine) are amazing layers...laying gorgeous dark/chocolate brown medium to large eggs EVERYday. A bit slower to mature, but not as slow as a Brahma, I'd say.

That's definitely possible (my BSL pullet's comb reddened and got big early, too, and she feathered out super slow...all general traits of a cockerel), but I, too, am going to agree with everyone else: I would say it's a cockerel. :)
