Gorgeous! 😍 I love my Black Jersey Giant. He's only six months old, but he defers to the older rooster, has good people manners and does not abuse the hens. About 6 of the young Black Australorp hens follow him like groupies around a rock star, lol! Definitely a keeper.

I should add that in the ten or so years I've had chickens (this time), including roosters, only twice have I had to remove roosters due to behavioral issues. So if I had to guess, 2 out of maybe 6 or so roosters have been a problem. One was just brutal with the hens, scalping one. And one...
