I'm inclined to agree with the pack rat theory- packed oats away before he packed it in, then much later stash rediscovered (perhaps another rodent disturbed it and thus left it open to the flock). Please consider BYC's Forum threads in...- Boonie Stomper

Sorry for your losses, Mrs K. I hope you have considered also the possibility of a gas killing. Check coop for carbon monoxide or any other gas that could be build up where the chickens were. And how are the remaining ones?- Boonie Stomper
