I've never incubated my own eggs before just because we generally eat them before I'd get the chance. However, last weekend I put 15 into an incubator (my Janoel).
These eggs are from my older quail and the male actually only lives permanently with one of the females as he's a bit too...
We ended up with 43 out of the 66 hatching, and I think possibly more could've hatched if I'd been able to leave the incubator running an extra day or two but I have others that need to move into that incubator so unfortunately had no other choice available. I realise I tried locking down a few...
Thank you, I'm so obsessed with him 😂😍

Janoel12: ALL 20 eggs fertile and growing well
Borotto: 10 eggs were infertile, 6 eggs had small cracks from...
Baby Arthur decided to come early :love
All eggs are doing well, both incubators at 29% humidity and temperatures are very stable. I hope tiny Arthur will enjoy seeing the chickies when they hatch 🐣
Our baby is due around the 23rd to 27th March so I thought it would be a cute idea to hatch some chicks at the same time. (Also a good way to make our lives even harder 😂)
I will be hatching more coturnix quail to grow our flock and have set them today (6th March). All from the same supplier...
