    your chickens are safer than my own kids! ;) i have 23 dom coppers, one barred rock roo, and 15 blue bresse...but the netting to cover my entire run would be more expensive than the occasional loss of a $2 chicken...obviously, i hope the hawk would grab the roo, then a DC, then a bresse;)

    i have posts for the fencing but how big are the sheets of netting? my run is 175x200’. will snow fall through it or pull it down? do i need posts in the middle?

    technically, that’s not cannibalism if the perpetrator wasn’t a chicken. ;) however, i feed my chickens leftover chicken all the time. i think they prefer chicken over most meats.

    i am amazed that one of the highest percentages is a covered chicken run...it seems like that would cost a fortune.
