I will have to argue against the silkie part, mine were brighter then my normal birds, very kind, some were top hens. :)

No chicken breed is dumb really. If they are acting such, it means something is wrong. I think something may be wrong with her if she is isolating herself as chickens are social animals. This may be due to bullying or a sickness.
