Sorry, I just skimmed your post but I think I got the gist of it. That's way too much breeding. You should have a ratio of about 10 hens for 1 rooster. A little less for heavy breeds, a little more hens for light breeds. If you don't want to add another 5-10 hens, you need to lose one of those...
