X2 They can eat any kind of animal protein from ant larvae and crickets to water buffalo and elephants. If they come upon a deer carcass while foraging, they will eat some. I feed mine raccoons and turkey/chicken carcasses. They've been known to get scraps from steak dinners, including venison.
