When I was reading it also said 4 square feet per chicken in the run so 16 would need 64 square feet and I have 128 square feet and am also extending the run.

Ok. I thought I could fit 16 because of the 3 square foot per chicken. I have 64 square feet and for 16 I would need 48. And my run is double that.

I had 5 and lost them to predators because they were free ranging. My run and coop are Predator proof I’m just not free ranging anymore. I have 16 week old chicks now and have a friend who has silkie chicks and was going to get 6 from her. I haven’t ordered or bought any just yet.
