For $1000 you could get a 7 by 7 Rubbermaid coop from Lowes (499 on sale)or somewhere similar & modify it by putting in windows, ventilation, roosts & nest boxes. Plastic would be easy to clean. Or look on craigslist for a used shed. I love Mace Gill's coop, but most like that around here...
