I never really tasted a difference in eggs, but I know what they eat & how they are treated & I am happy with that. I know the texture of my eggs are different, because you can see it!
I was disappointed last year when I bought a dozen of somewhat local organic pastured eggs for like $5 a dozen & found the yolks lighter than my chicken eggs that were left from my girls. Mine don't even free range, but their food variety must be OK.
I recently had to buy a dozen eggs at the store & man were they runny compared to my eggs. So far That is the only eggs I have bought this year. Ran out after the holidays & my son eating some every morning during his hunting vacation.

I didn't intend for them to eat the tree, but they did! I didn't notice any taste problem. The tree was actually a douglas fir, so fir needles as opposed to pine, LOL.
