    Are you referring to the lavender ameraucanas? They are called both lavender and self-blue by many reputable breeders. I'm not sure what that has to do with the quality of birds?

    bbs orpingtons, bbs australorps, and bbs ameraucanas are by far my favorite breeds. They are so friendly and their temperament is great.
