People sell mixie-poo dogs for a lot because other people PAY a lot for mixie-poo dogs. See also Teddy Ruxpin, Beanie Babies and the latest Xbox/PlayStation, etc. I prefer rescues and strays to "bred" dogs, but that's just me. A gratuitous pic of my German Husky (Siberian Shepherd, maybe?):
