Duck shaking head and having a new quack

It's almost unbelievable, but I just went out to let my ducks out of the coop and into the run, and I heard Mable, my head-shaker, make that funny hiccup sound, which I've never heard from her before. The timing can't be a coincidence. I will definitely start nebulizing her today, it did...

Duck shaking head and having a new quack

Wow, that's a lot of valuable information. Thank you so much! Will you try anti-fungals on your boy as well? Do you know if that is something you can get over the counter or do you need a prescription? With my duck, I had thought it was maybe something she was eating that had hurt her throat...

Duck shaking head and having a new quack

Interesting, perhaps you know more about duck health than I do. Have you seen or had chronic aspergillosis diagnosed before? My duck still does shake her head, just not as much. I haven't done the oxine for her since I posted this thread, and I didn't try it until a month or so after she...

Duck shaking head and having a new quack

@isaac o - you responded to me as I jumped on someone else's post a few days ago about their duck shaking its head, and I thank you for that information. That's why I decided to start treating her with Safeguard for possible gape worms. You sent the diagram of the trachea, etc. and I thank you...

Duck shaking head and having a new quack

Her nostrils are clear. She swims every day, so has lots of opportunity to clear them. I don't see any other respiratory symptoms.

Duck shaking head and having a new quack

I'm linking videos of my duck Mable who started shaking her head now and then, a couple months ago. Her quack has changed and that can be heard in the first video. She now has this a more croaky quack that she does when she's eating. She hasn't been herself lately, stands around more staring...
