Cocci is caused by 6 or so different strains of the organism. To not have symptoms, chickens have to build up a resistance to that particular strain, which is spread by wild birds. 7-8 weeks is the prime time for them to develop cocci. Emerald green poop with white urates can mean they didn't eat that day.- Criticalicious
