I have 11 hens in one coop and get 3-8 eggs a day. 3 are pullets hatched in the Easter hatch-a-long. Just gave a friend 5 hens and 2 roos, she had 5 hens already. On a good note, I think my Easter hatch silkie hen is laying!! Had one egg in her coop and it didn't look like what I am used to...

My girls have been stepping up a bit. I have been getting 9-10 most days with one day of 3. Both girls in the tractor are back to laying after hatching chicks but not as often as they had been.

9/16 and my EE has hit 3 days in a row!!

6/16 I guess I should say now that the pullets are starting to lay. Got my 3rd green egg today! She laid one, took a day off then has hit 2 in a row. :)

Not sure how your setup is. Mine is totally enclosed including the top. We put a bungee from inside the run to the door of the run. Our door opens out. If I go in the door automatically shuts behind me. If I open the door really wide, it will stay open. It is at the top of our door. I...

We attached a bungie cord to our gate so that there is no chance that they can accidentally push it open. Just a thought.
