OH NO! Your poor babies 😥. I'm so sorry for them. It really frightens me now that I know how ducks mate. I've decided that because of their crests I don't want my girls mated at all. I wish I could fix all of mine and not have to worry about it.

Really?! We did factor in the heat on FL so it's not completely enclosed. I'm attaching a photo to show it. The top will be covered with a roof. Then the 3 walls to provide some shelter and enclosure. The other sides and floor will be coated hardware cloth. So they'll have good air circulation...
Well, first, we got them because we live on a lake in a community. We thought they'd be spending a lot of time there. But they don't, at least not yet. They are outside during the day and they stay close to home in our very small back yard. We have some other ducks in the lake that don't belong...

I have a flock of white crested, 15 month olds. So far still looking like 4 boys and 2 girls. They're all so close, extremely bonded to each other. When I have to re-home the girls what affect is this going to have on them? I'm so worried and sad that I have to do this.
