No @ColtHandorf no goslings last year, BB definitely tried her best to hatch but the eggs must not have been fertile.
Happy to catch up with all of you! Glad the gang is all still here! :hugs
Agree with @Miss Lydia dreading trying to keep the bird flu away from my yard, will be next to...
Hello ooh goose lovers! Hope everyone is doing well! Came out of hiding to get caught back up on biosecurity with the bird flu creeping closer to home!
Figured I'd leave this here since pictures are worth a thousand words....my lover boy Chance up to no good!
Where do I even start??
Let's see...
Chance has broke out of his jail twice...once he somehow chewed and fiddled with the latch long enough that it popped open, and the other time he just jumped and flapped over it. He's now adopted 5 teenage ducklings as his own!
BB was sitting on a nice...
Oh Chance is dying to get a good bite out of my boot-y! Last several days I've been doing some gardening in the back...then I hear those webby feet slapping the ground heading my way!!
Mine do this too! Good grief...as soon as I clean out their pool, they mate, then start throwing mud, sticks, rocks, whatever! It's a work out to dump the thing when there's 6 inches of junk in the bottom of it!!
Chance plays this all by himself 😂he walks up to a fence post, deck post, goose house...whatever, and screams and makes his angry noises 😏
I cannot wait to get my sweet boy back!
Glad Suede is recovering! Sounds like it could have been much worse!!
BB decided to make her nest in the chicken coop, so I'm trying to figure out how I need to rearrange things to avoid the same thing at my house! I want Chance to be able to be penned with Mama and babies. The birds are all...
Geez! Is your roo ok? Any lasting injuries to either of them?
Chance and Tom the drake have gotten into some ugly scuffles but has calmed down now. Tom just runs if he sees Chance coming his way. Once the mating seasons flip though I imagine they will be back at it 😟
 I'm staring to see the cheerleading thing more and more. BB makes little annoyed noises at the rest of my birds...then here comes Chance, screaming, flapping, and chasing them away. Then BB stands there looking innocent, like mission complete! She's got her gander wrapped around her...
:lau That is too funny! So I'm guessing your son is not willing to bird sit Sam for you? Poor guy! They seem to pick up on who's scared of them and they take advantage. BB doesn't really bother new people in the yard, just starts screaming and making noise. Chance on the other hand, fluffs...
:lau:gig I like the description of yourself, trust me when I say you're not the only scary looking goose person out there!
That poor meter reader!! She probably went straight back to the office and quit!! Rough first day!! :lau
