You most certainly don't want her (or any of the chickens) to flood in the rain!
Build it up if you must. It doesn't have to be dark but certainly not in the sun. For now, she does not need to be closed off from the rest of the flock.

You can try hand feeding her treats daily to let her know you aren't going to take her eggs or threaten her unborn!
Mine was very sweet during the whole process. She only did a turkey impersonation and the ticking time bomb cluck, cluck, cluck. That's it.
Mine was ready to leave the nest the very next day.
