Liquid floating in the egg like water? That sounds like one of the eggs my broody didn't manage to hatch. Sounds like the yolk burst inside the shell and mixed with the whites to form a blended liquid. I don't know what causes that, but it's sad to see cuz that means the embryo inside it is dead :(

That date is for commercial incubators. This is an experiment... with potentially fluctuating results. Your chicks are peeping, but might not be ready to get out yet. They can peep up to four days before hatch, so think twice and use your judgement on whether or not you really must do it.

If I understand DogAndCat36's explanation correctly, she vertically flips her eggs from round-side up to pointy-side up and back again. I wouldn't dare try that, as the round (bigger) side of the egg hosts the air sack through which breathes the chick, and flipping the egg upside-down literally...
