I would get the eyes cleaned up with saline or water, and try to remove the pus form inside the eye socket. That may be from a respiratory sinus infection, and it needs to come out. Get some antibiotic ointment, such as Terramycin from a feed store, or plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic...
