Do not use citric acid in your oxine, it is not necessary, unless you plan on using the Oxine for heavily cleaning your coops. In which case you would wear an approved ventilation mask and remove all animals. Once citric acid is added, it can not be breathed.

You can put an 1/8 tsp in a gallon of drinking water, but I would not mix it with anything else.
