I can't say for sure but I think the hernia eventually strangulated the intestine- Flockandfowl46

I had the same issue with one of my hatched chick . It thrived for almost 2 weeks but eventually died suddenly I hope you have better luck with yours...i plan to cull these if I have any more in the future:(- Flockandfowl46
