    I read about the head spots AFTER buying the chicks, and two had a clear head spot while two did not. Hence why I’m questioning if they truly are sapphire gems.

    Can anyone venture a guess as to why chicks 3 and 4 have no barring? I’ve read that can mean the cross that produces the sapphire gem wasn’t correct. I’m new to chickens and just trying to educate myself!
