Yes I was curious for the reasoning behind it. Not sure how it would be an advantage or disadvantage over hard boiled. More a preservation issue for me. My eggs are fertilized so I wouldn't want to risk trying to dry them out. I have found fertilized eggs rot instead of drying.

Is there a reason I can't blow the eggs out? I'd like to save them after I decorate.
