Well, we have a hen named Sir Peeps a Lot. I told my kids all the hens were female, but it didn't quite compute. Technically, she's been renamed Ms. Peeps a Lot, but that doesn't have quite the same ring to it, so Sir gets trotted out a fair bit.
The one rooster was Speckle (gender neutral)...
Names in the pet flock:
Angel (the bully witch who I will be rehoming as soon as I get another hen laying), Ativan (stress relief), Brown Sugar, Onyx Blende, Isabel, Sassy, Chipmunk, Chestnut, Cinnamon, Olive (who did NOT lay olive!), Sir Peeps a Lot (now Ms. Peeps a Lot), Speckle (rooster)...
Only if I plan to keep them, and if I'm not planning to eat them. I have a pet flock, an egger-for-possible-sale flock, and a meat bird flock. The pets get names, the others get numbered/colored leg bands until I decide if they'll join the pet flock or not.
I have both pets and livestock.
