I'd say it's probably their age. Keep trying with them and hopefully they'll warm up to you. They go through this awkward stage where they look and act awkward. Hopefully on the other side of this you'll have some affectionate sweethearts ❤️

My blue hen had that appearance as a young pullet. I even noticed a gold sheen to her today. Now I'm curious to see how this one fills in. I love Partridge, but I only have a blue pair and a white pair. Silkies are just so flipping adorable!!!
