Bird Netting + snow = bad idea

Did you get snow today? It snowed at Perisher.

Bird Netting + snow = bad idea

It could get real "exciting". NASA is forecasting beginning 2020 the lowest solar minimum in 200 years. Solar minimums are associated with cooler climate, and 200 years ago was the Dalton minimum during the Little Ice Age. Mount Tamboro blew its top in 1815, which further cooled the planet; 1816...

You bring up a really good point. As long as the netting is able to hold the weight of the snow the more it's stretched the less it will deform. Also, the stronger the supporting posts are the less they will be pulled inward causing everything to collapse. Maybe some simple guy wires or rope can...

I'd be prepared. That article I linked to says the same weather pattern that just hit you may return next week. GFS stands for Global Forecast System

Expect it to continue. The wavy jet stream is what's causing cold air to move south and warm air to move north. I don't know the details, but weakened solar activity is what causes the jet stream to change like that.

I wonder if this is what hit you: https://electroverse.net/rare-snow-takes-aussie-forecasters-by-surprise/ FWIW something seems to be happening in AU. Perisher ski resort (wherever that is in AU) is having it's longest season on record.

Bird Netting + snow = bad idea

Maybe not. Numerous scientists are forecasting that we are entering a colder period due to lower solar activity. Build for colder weather just in case they are right.

Sorry for your hassle. Dry snow probably would have been no problem. Wet snow always causes a problem.

I think he's like anybody else and agrees that climate always changes, always has and always will. What he says is a hoax is CO2 causing warming that causes cooling. You can't have it both ways when your hypothesis fails. But that's exactly what climate activists are doing.
