    I agree. She’s been very reluctant lately when I remove her eggs. I didn’t realize until now she was actually trying to be a mother. I just can’t believe her, of all my hens, would be the one to go as far as to pluck her feathers out to nest. It’s so odd.

    You can’t tell by the pictures but her belly is more bare. She really didn’t like me moving her and would lay her head down and make a displeased sound when I would get my hand near her.

    I can try. She doesn’t like me touching her. She hasn’t pecked or anything but she’s definitely acting like my silky when she hatched eggs last fall.
