As far as I'm concerned, predators that are thought to kill for "fun" are actually engaging in surplus killing. You could argue dogs and domestic cats kill for fun, but, IMO, this is more there natural instinct, something they still very much retain.

Foxes do not simply kill for fun, they will kill a surplus amount of birds and cache them for later eating.
