Hi sweetshoplady it depends on what tipe of pheasants.My runs are 1/2 coverd 1/2 neting. My birds sleep at the highest perch.I like to keep the perches under the coverd section. As far as nesting i put pine branches in the corners and it also helps the hens hide from agressive males. Good luck John.
